Pep Guardiola conceded that the Premier League title race has “left his team’s hands” following their astonishing 3-3 draw at Everton on Monday night, which has all but confirmed Arsenal as this season’s champions.
The title could have been closed on Monday night, but dropped points and a truly scintillating encounter at Goodison Park mean that City remain five points off the top-flight summit, although the team has a game in hand on Arsenal. The dropped points meant it is not in City’s hands.
“It’s not in our hands, before it was, now no,” Guardiola said. “We have four games left, and we’ll see what happens.”

The Citizens kept alive their hopes, despite the fight from Everton, through a dramatic 97th-minute strike from Jeremy Doku to make it 3-3- his second on the night- and Erling Haaland scoring late on too.
Guardiola claimed it was a good finish from his players, the missed chance, “is better than losing but we play to win,” he claimed.
“It’s painful, but anything can happen, and we will keep fighting,” Doku said.
City still has a hard run against Brentford, Crystal Palace, Bournemouth, and Aston Villa, Arsenal, on the other hand, appears to have a slightly easier run till the end of the season. City have already won the League Cup and face Chelsea in the FA Cup final.
