Some unknown gunmen stormed St Martin’s Catholic Church Ihiala Anambra state and tied down the security men and dispossessed them of their phones, before entering the church premises, the incident was said to have occurred on Thursday night.
Reports have it that, there have been some fracas with the church authorities and some members of the citizens, the reasons why they stormed the church are still to be known.
Rev Fr Val Eze, the Parish priest of the church, confirmed the incident and even revealed that the armed men occupied the building until late in the night on Thursday, although no harm was done to any of the priests.
Tochukwu Ikenga, the Anambra state Public relations officer, is yet to answer any of the phone calls or respond to texts to confirm the incident.
