Ronaldo recently granted an interview with Piers, where he exposed the ills in Manchester United, and also slammed Manchester United’s new coach, Erik Ten Hag, and said that he doesn’t respect him.
Ronaldo initially wanted to leave Manchester United before the start of the season, due to the club’s inability to qualify for Champions League, but no suitable offers were made for him, ever since he remained in the spotlight, for several reasons, he was suspended for leaving before the end of their 2-0 win against Tottenham.
Well, Manchester United has replied to his interview, by stating that appropriate steps will be taken against the player.
Manchester United has this morning initiated appropriate steps in response to Cristiano Ronaldo’s recent media interview. We will not be making further comments until this process reaches its conclusion.”
At this point, it is impossible to see Ronaldo and Erik Ten Hag work together again, so Ronaldo’s contract with the club will likely be terminated
