Gunmen kidnapped a pregnant woman known only as Mrs. Ogunbunmi in Abeokuta, Ogun state’s capital.
Mrs. Ogunbunmi, who is expected to give birth, is alleged to have left her home in Oke Lantoro for the state hospital in Ijaiye, Abeokuta.
It was reported that her husband, Ogunbunmi Lateef, stated he received a WhatsApp message informing him of his wife’s kidnapping by the abductors.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the event in a statement on Tuesday, saying the suspected kidnapping had been reported to the command.

She stated, “One Ogunbunmi Lateef of Oke Lantoro, Abeokuta reported that his pregnant wife due for delivery left home for the state hospital in Ijaiye, Abeokuta.
“He received a WhatsApp message confirming the abduction of his wife by unknown armed men,”
