Reality TV star and entrepreneur Natacha Akide, popularly known as Symply Tacha, has revealed the official plaques for the two Guinness World Records she achieved during her makeup marathon challenge in Lagos.

The former Big Brother Naija housemate shared the announcement on her Instagram and X pages on Sunday, aligning the reveal with the celebration of International Women’s Day.

In her post, Tacha disclosed that the records recognised her for completing 82 cosmetic makeovers in eight hours and 143 makeovers within 24 hours.

“It’s finally here. Months of hard work, two Guinness World Records. From victory vision,” she wrote, encouraging others to stay committed to their ambitions.

The feat was accomplished during the Tacha Beauty Festival, a three-day event she organised in 2025. The makeup marathon took place on November 12, 2025, at the John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History in Lagos, where Tacha and her team worked nonstop to complete as many makeovers as possible within the set time frames.

According to Guinness guidelines, attempts of this nature require strict supervision, accurate timing and proper documentation before they can be officially certified.

Reflecting on the journey, Tacha described organising the festival and preparing for the record attempt as a demanding process that required months of planning.

“For anyone that knows me, you already know I like to do things myself — one-man mopo,” she wrote, explaining that she prefers to stay closely involved in every aspect of her projects.

She also revealed that the event faced setbacks before it eventually took place, particularly in securing sponsorship.

“They said: how can one person be good at influencing, advocacy, be a graduate, a reality TV star, a philanthropist, a CEO running businesses and still be a professional makeup artist?” she said, recalling the doubts she encountered.

Despite the skepticism, Tacha pushed forward and successfully completed the marathon session, ultimately earning the two world records.

The reality star attributed the accomplishment to faith and perseverance, saying the journey reinforced her belief that persistence pays off.

“I’m grateful to God that I was able to prove that it is possible,” she wrote.

She also dedicated the achievement to women striving to achieve their goals despite challenges or self-doubt.

“So today, I dedicate these awards to every amazing woman out there — every woman who is still dreaming, every woman who is still on her journey of becoming, every woman who sometimes doubts herself but still keeps going,” she said.

“Look at this and remember: whatever you put your mind to do, you can achieve it,” she added.
