Olakunle Churchill, the former husband of Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh, has finally reacted publicly following their recent reconciliation after years of tension.
On Saturday, Dikeh announced that she and Churchill had resolved their long-standing differences, bringing an end to nearly a decade of public disputes and hostility.
Reacting via an Instagram post on Sunday, Churchill expressed joy after receiving an emotional phone call from their son, King Andre, who referred to him as “daddy” for the first time. He described the moment as deeply moving and reflective of divine intervention.

“I was pleasantly surprised when I received a call from my son, King Andre, for the first time. Hearing him call me ‘Daddy’ was deeply touching and a reminder that what God cannot do does not exist,” he wrote.
Churchill went on to speak about faith, forgiveness, and the healing process that led to their reconciliation, noting that spiritual growth played a key role in resolving their differences.
“Faith has a way of bringing clarity, humility and peace. I acknowledge the growth and grace evident in the manner in which this matter has been resolved. With God leading, healing and understanding have become possible,” the post read.
According to him, forgiveness has allowed both parties to turn a new page and focus on raising their son together in harmony.
“Forgiveness has paved the way for a new chapter, and we are moving forward with a sense of peace and mutual respect. The conflict is behind us, and we are now focused on co-parenting with love, care, and a shared commitment to raising our son,” he stated.
Churchill also expressed gratitude for the lessons learned over the years and shared optimism about the future.
“I am grateful for the journey we’ve been on and the growth we’ve experienced, and I look forward to a future filled with collaboration, respect, and peace trusting God to guide me,” he added.
He concluded by thanking Tonto Dikeh for her efforts in raising their son, describing her as an “amazing mother.”
“I am grateful to have my son back in my life. Thank you to the amazing mother of my son Tonto Dikeh for doing a good job.”
Churchill and Dikeh got married in 2015, but their union collapsed in 2017 amid controversy. Despite their split, which produced a son, the former couple repeatedly clashed online over the years, including a notable exchange on Instagram in 2020.
