Nigerian officials thought they had them by the scrotum, but Anjarwalla and Gambaryan made them look like the fools they are.
On the faithful Friday, Anjarwalla thought up a plan and walked up to one of the guards and whispered in the ears to allow him pray in the mosque adjacent to the guest house where they were being held and the idiot let him.
Anjarwalla who had been fasting (he probably was praying to God for strength to pull down the house on the heads of the guards like Samson and what happened afterward was indeed a Samson-like miracle as Anjarwalla disappeared into thin air and did not emerge with the other congregants from the mosque at the end of the prayers.
Then as typical, Nigerian security officials went into a frenzy and began running helter-skelter like headless chickens searching everywhere and everyone on the street and their shirt pockets for the two Binance execs.
Don’t conclude security personnel can’t be this stupid until you have met Nigerian security officials.
After all it was in under the care of Nigerian security officials that a massive ship got missing from the sea port like a pencil.
I have heard some say Nadeem Anjarwalla and colleague took their move out of a Hollywood thriller. Nah! Nothing of the sort.
Anyone with half a brain can make a fool of the entire Nigerian security apparatus.
The Gist: This all began with the Nigerian government accusing Binance of engaging in currency manipulation.
Something everyone knew was a concocted lie.
Anjarwalla who is Binance Kenya regional manager and Tigran Gambaryan, its United States head of financial crimes compliance unit flew to Nigeria to resolve the matter.
As soon as their plane landed, the bulldogs at the Federal Inland Revenue, Nigeria’s tax agency, went for blood and immediately filed charges against Binance and its executives. Accusing them of running an unregistered company in Nigeria and failing to remit taxes on behalf of itself and its users.
Official Idiots: The Nigerian officials whom everyone is certain intentionally shut down negotiations with both men immediately confiscated their passports…. If you call it deliberate ambushing and you will be right.
And immediately their passports have been seized, they were moved to an already prepared government house, and placed under guard 24/7. The Nigerian government then got its corrupt courts to extend their stay.
Officially Clueless: And when it became clear to Nigerian officials that both Binance executives had escaped out of the country (through the front door – the main airport) the clueless officials began suspecting that Anjarwalla must have only surrendered his UK passport and kept his Kenyan one….. SUCH IDIOTS.
As Present, the foolish security guards who were assigned to both men have since been detained by a different set of foolish officials.
These other foolish officials have been tasked to determine how Anjarwalla gained access to his Kenyan passport.
