Social media influencer Abike Raheem, popularly known as Papaya Ex, has alleged that she was physically and sexually assaulted by a police officer during a late-night encounter in Ajah, Lagos State.

The creator shared her claims during an emotional TikTok live session on Friday, saying the incident occurred while she was returning home from a shoot.

She accused the officer of using excessive force, assaulting her driver, and behaving inappropriately toward her.

Papaya Ex explained that what began as a routine interaction quickly escalated. She said the officer struck her with a gun, slapped her, hit her buttocks and breasts, and forcibly took her phone.

Although there is no video evidence of the alleged assault, she suggested that network problems prevented recording. However, she appeared to show visible injuries on her face during the livestream.

Videos circulating online show a heated argument between her and the officer, though the exact circumstances have not been independently verified.

The influencer also claimed that harassment by police officers in Ajah is a common experience for residents and stressed that the incident took place while she was returning from a movie set.

The incident has sparked widespread discussion on social media, with many users expressing concern and calling for a formal investigation. The Lagos State Police Command has yet to respond publicly to the allegations.
