Since Bola Tinubu announced his intention to run for president in 2023, he has been trending and generating headlines in the media, with many people voicing opposing views on his presidential aspirations.

Many powerful leaders in the south have expressed their intention to run for president, but some APC cabals continue to demand a consensus candidate. Despite this, Tinubu seems to be many notable Nigerians’ favorite choice.

How did Tinubu become the seeming favorite?

Tinubu’s endorsement has been confirmed by the Monarch of Ondo. This monarch, who has great hopes for Tinubu, prayed firmly that he would be Nigeria’s next president.

Only a few days ago, in Katsina, the state’s monarch stated that he could not get rid of Tinubu because he was willing to help and advise him on his presidential quest. Apart from that, the Governor of Katsina State, Aminu Masari, greeted the Arewa Women Group for Tinubu joyfully, indicating that he may be a Tinubu supporter in the 2023 presidential election.

Abdullahi Ganduje, the governor of Kano state, has pledged his support for Tinubu, claiming that the entire north is behind him. Tanko Yakasai, one of the most revered old men in the state, has also said that he will vote for Tinubu.

The governor of Niger State, Abubakar Sani Bello, has said that he supports Tinubu, as have many other monarchs and parliamentarians in Nigeria. This could help Tinubu a lot when he runs for president in 2023.
