The immediate past Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike alongside Seyi Makinde and James Ibori paid a visit to the President in Aso Rock on Friday, to congratulate him on his inauguration.

However, many speculated that the meeting was an agenda by Wike to switch to APC, reacting to the news, Wike debunked such rumours.

As according to him, he has no such plans, he only came as a supportive Nigerian to show his support to the president.

Apart from that he has no other agenda.

“No. No plans. Nothing like that. We are Nigerians and we have come to give the president support. That is what is required. There is no big deal about that.”

Wike’s loyalty to PDP has been subject to criticism as many have branded him a” betrayer” seeing the role he played for his party during the Presidential Elections.
