Popular Nigerian music video director TG Omori has revealed that he only began to see financial gain from his work in 2023, despite being one of the most sought-after names in the industry for years.
Omori opened up about his financial struggles, explaining that he operated under intense pressure for five years, battling production-related debt before finally clearing it.
According to him, it was his personal brand and influence that eventually helped him overcome the burden.
“I only started making profits in 2023. Every time I’m losing money from pick-up shoots or something! Budget is never enough, in fact I was in bad production debt for 5 years. Just had to live with it, I was paying up and taking more to cover up. I was only able to pay it off with money. My brand and personality were fetching me. It’s a tough life for creatives. Hug a creative beside you today,” he shared.
His revelation highlights the financial challenges many creatives face behind the scenes, reminding fans that success doesn’t always equate to financial stability in the early stages.
