The Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, who has been nicknamed the dancing Governor, due to his love for music and dancing has revealed that he had always loved entertainment and that he wanted to be an entertainer but his parent forced him to attend school, seeing that courses like law and Medicine were the predominant occupations then.
Speaking in an interview, he disclosed that when he was in the US in 1980, during Micheal Jackson’s era, he usually participated in a dancing competition and always won dollars.
So he further said, that he’s not shocked seeing his nephew (David Adeleke) and his son (B red) do music, because it’s a family thing.
Adeleke said, “I love music. I love dancing. I was supposed to be into entertainment and business. During that time when we were growing up, our father believed that you have to be a doctor, you have to be a lawyer, and you have to go to school. But they forced me to go to school.
“I went to the US in 1980 when Michael Jackson was booming. I used to go out there and do a dancing competition, and I was winning dollars. So it’s just part of me.
“So I am not surprised by my nephew and my kids, who have already picked that up. So I still have it in me.”
He further said that his role as a Governor will not stop him from doing his hobby which is dancing. Governor Ademola Adeleke whose position as Governor of Osun was challenged by the former Osun State Governor, Oyetola. However the Supreme Court affirmed Adeleke’s position as the Governor of Osun State, and Osun State people were very happy about it. Although according to Adeleke, Oyetola is yet to call him and congratulate him on his victory.
Governor Ademola Adeleke who is from a very reputable family is expected to fulfill the ommissions of Oyeyemi and save the people of Osun state from suffering, seeing the wonderful changes he has already made.
