The Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has announced that he would first study the results of the Saturday elections result of the Benue Northwest Senatorial District which he lost before he would respond appropriately.
Ortom had made the statement through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Terver Akase after INEC announced that Governor Ortom lost at the polls.
Governor Ortom had contested the senatorial seat under the aegis of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) but had lost to his close rival, Titus Zam of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Governor Ortom had gotten 106,882 votes while Zam scored 143,151 votes. The Labour Party candidate, Mark Gbillah, however, had secured 51,950 votes.
