Nollywood actor Ibrahim Chatta has recounted the heartbreaking loss of his first child, revealing she died in a Lagos hospital because he couldn’t afford to pay the hospital bills.

Speaking emotionally in a video conversation with crew members on a movie set, Chatta explained that his baby girl was admitted to a hospital in the Iddo area of Lagos State, but all efforts to raise the required funds failed.

According to the actor, he moved from Ijora Badia to Makoko on foot, desperately trying to gather money, but help didn’t come in time.

The video was shared on YouTube by Abiola Orisile Events & Parties.

He said, “Malik is not my firstborn. My first child is a baby girl. I lost her because I couldn’t pay hospital bills. She was taken to the hospital in the Iddo area of Lagos State. I trekked from Ijora Badia to Makoko, and I couldn’t get any money until she died. My first child was buried in the old wooden crate of Coke.”
