Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has opened up about her deep passion for filmmaking and the creative process behind her latest project, Aiyetoro Town.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Funke described herself as a perfectionist, noting that her commitment to excellence led her to visit the movie set multiple times to support the directors, Tobi Makinde and Pogainc09, as well as the Director of Photography, Adejumo Blessing.
She expressed how important the film is to her and revealed that directing and storytelling have become therapeutic parts of her journey.
“I’m passionate about Aiyetoro Town, and my perfectionism drives me to ensure every detail is just right. That’s why I stopped by on set several times to support the directors and the DOP in interpreting roles and bringing the story to life. As an actor’s director, I find it therapeutic to explore different characters and stories,” she wrote.
