Legendary actor, David Graham, the iconic voice behind some of TVs best-loved characters, has died, aged 99. Known to generations as the chilling voice of the Daleks in Doctor Who, Graham terrified audiences in the 1960s and ’70s. But to younger viewers, he’s most fondly remembered as the voice of Grandpa Pig in Peppa Pig.
Graham was a prolific performer who, over his many decades-long career, had memorable, iconic roles in Thunderbirds as the devoted butler and chauffeur Aloysius Parker and voicing characters such as Brains and Gordon Tracy. Even in 2015, he returned to reboot the series Thunderbirds Are Go!, playing once more, the voice of Parker opposite Rosamund Pike.
Beyond children’s television, he put his stamp in classic British dramas like Coronation Street, The Bill, and Casualty. The same amazing versatility heard his voice in Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom.
David Graham’s phenomenal body of work, both for live action and animated productions, has created a bond with generations of television viewers.
