The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi, has declared that the
Nigerian presidency is not a rotational seat, but rather, about capacity, while also stating that if it were indeed a rotational seat, then it was time for the people in the South-East region to be considered.
Obi’s remark is in response to Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, who had been touting the Yoruba slogan “Emilokan” (It is my turn) before clinching the ruling party’s presidential ticket.
The LP candidate had also said that his administration would negotiate with all the
separatist movements, especially the Biafra Republic agitators, to unite Nigeria.
The former Anambra Governor had made the statements at the All-Saints Cathedral
Field, Onitsha, Anambra State, before a crowd of supporters and party faithful as part of his nationwide presidential campaign.
