Manchester City’s manager Pep Guardiola has said that his performance in the cub will be judged by winning the Champions League title. He believes that winning the Champions League for City will be his greatest achievement for City.
No doubt that Pep Guardiola is one of the greatest coaches in Europe, seeing as he is leading City to win this season’s EPL for the third time, however, his biggest aim is too cliche for the Champions League title this season.
During the Press Conference for City’s second leg match against Leipzig in the UCL Round 16, he was asked if winning the Champions League for City will affect his time at City.
And he replied that yes, he will be judged for that competition, as from the very day he joined the club he was asked if his major aim was to win the Champions League title for the club and he answered in the positive.
Yes,” Pep agreed his time at Manchester City will be judged based on Champions League success.
“That doesn’t mean I agree with that, but I will be judged for that competition.
“Since day one, when I arrived here, they asked me, are you here to win the Champions League? I accept it. It’s not going to change.”
Manchester City is a very formidable team with the players to cliche the Champions League title, and might also end up winning the EPL title for the third time consecutively marking them the second team to do this after Manchester United.
