Newly employed Chelsea’s manager, Graham Potter, has expressed his delight over his new appointment as Chelsea’s head coach. His appointment came less than 48 hours after sacking Thomas Tuchel, Graham signed a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge.
If we can recall, Tuchel was sacked on Wednesday due to Chelsea’s poor performance in the premier league as they rank fifth on the premier league table, with ten points. People believed that the final straw that broke the camel’s back was chelsea’s defeat to Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League
According to Potter, he is overly excited to coach Chelsea FC, which happens to be an incredible club. He is excited to work with Chelsea’s new ownership, and he is eagerly anticipating working with the players to develop a flourishing team that fans will be proud of.
He further thanked his previous club, Brighton & Hove Albion, for allowing him to harness this opportunity
“I am incredibly proud and excited to represent Chelsea FC, this fantastic football club”.
“I am very excited to partner with Chelsea’s new ownership group and look forward to meeting and working with the exciting group of players and developing a team and culture that our amazing fans can be proud of.”
“I would also like to place my sincere thanks to Brighton & Hove Albion for allowing me this opportunity.”
Potter led Brighton to finish ninth last season, and already has started an impressive performance for Brighton this season, as Brighton ranks Fourth in the premier league table, after Winning four matches out of six, despite losing Marc Cucurella and Yves Bissouma.
