The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has refuted claims that the commission is planning to remove all Igbo and south-south indigenes from being their ad-hoc staff ahead of Saturday’s governorship and State Assembly elections in the state.
Tadese Adenike (MRS), the Lagos HOD Voter Education and Publicity for Hon Resident Electoral Commissioner, released a statement denying the claims in a press statement on Wednesday night, March 15.
The electoral commission had also further debunked the claim that the state Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC had been conversing with some stakeholders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
