The Islamic State of West African Province, –ISWAP radicals, have purportedly destroyed another 330KVA high tension transmission line along the Maiduguri-Damaturu Highway.
This news was disclosed via a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday by Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad.
According to Zagazola, the incident took place in the early hours of December 28, 2023, at about 07:00hrs, and it happened between Yanayakiri-Garin Kuturu in the Jakana general area.
Zagazola had also reported that the terrorists had destroyed two transmission towers around Katsaita village, a few days before Christmas, on December 21, causing a power failure in certain parts of Borno and Yobe.
