Frank Lampard, Everton’s head coach has commended super eagles player Alex Iwobi for his fantastic performance at the premier league opener which was held in Goodison park.

Chelsea defeated Everton n a 1-0 win due to a penalty. Those who watched the match can attest that Iwobi gave his very best to the game, and Lampard is obviously impressed with Iwobi.

According to Lampard, Iwobi played brilliantly, he handled the midfield well alongside with Abdoulaye Boucoure. Lampard further praised this team, as they gave their very best to the game.

If we can recall, Lampard announced that Calvin Lewin will be absent from the match due to the injury he sustained while training

” I Alex Iwobi was brilliant in the number six role. Because of his attitude, personality and humility, it doesn’t matter [where he plays],” Lampard said in his post-match analysis.

“thought him and Abdoulaye Doucoure played very well in midfield today”

don’t think we deserved to lose. In terms of both boxes and chances we created, I thought we “deserved the draw. We had a moment of lack of concentration for the penalty.”

“The lads gave everything. Thanks to the fans who turned up before the game. The atmosphere was great during the game and I thought our lads played their part in that.”
