As we all know Ronaldo is eager to leave Manchester United due to their failure to qualify for the champions league, but all the top clubs do not want him, not because he’s not a good player, as Ronaldo can score goals for any club, Bayern’s head coach admitted that he regards Ronaldo as one of the greatest players in the world but he can’t fit into his club’s philosophy.
Rooney has advised Erik Ten Hag to remove Ronaldo from his plans, as Manchester United isn’t ready to let Ronaldo go, he advised the coach to exclude Ronaldo from his squad this season, as Ronaldo can leave anytime since he’s in dire need to participate in the champions league. Manchester United should rather focus on building a strong squad to win the champions league in the next two or three years.
“United are doing everything to bring Frenkie de Jong in and they could certainly do with a midfielder. A No. 9 too,” Rooney said in his column for The Sunday Times.
“I think United should let Cristiano Ronaldo go. It’s not that Ronaldo can’t play in a Ten Hag team. He can play in any team. Ronny will always score you goals.
“But my personal view is that United aren’t ready to challenge for the title now, so the aim has to be to build a team that can win the league in the next three to four years, and you have to plan for that,” he said.
Looking at Ronaldo’s recent behavior, it’s obvious that he wants to leave the club, as he missed training four times and failed to follow his fellow teammates on their pre-season tour, and also left a preseason match at halftime without informing the coach. While some fans support the players’ decision others are against his decision as they see him as one who is not loyal to his club
