Jennifer Lopez, a pop star and movie actor, has petitioned for divorce from her husband, Ben Affleck. The two love birds, who have been together on and off since 2002 popped the question at the end of July 2022, and said “I do” in Vegas.
The filing of the divorce was done on the 20th of August, 2024, in the Los Angeles County Superior Court, and this put an end to their marriage of two years. Papers had previously indicated that Lopez and Affleck had been sleeping in different rooms beginning April 26, 2024.
Lopez began dating Affleck in late 2001 on the sets of the film called Gigli. They eventually moved from being just friends on set to real life lovers, and news of their rather secret affair was soon being reported.
This is the fourth time that the 55-year old Lopez is entering into a marriage. She has been married to singer Marc Anthony in 2004, and Affleck, married to actress Jennifer Garner in 2005.
