Years after their first engagement, Hollywood heavy weights Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez appear to be finally heading down the aisle for real. The pair was first engaged close to two decades ago before the wedding was called off.
Ben has been busy shopping for the perfect rock on Tiffany and it appears other plans are on gear for the trip down the aisle after getting back with former fiancé.
Back in 2002, Ben, now 49, proposed to Jennifer, now 52, with a 6.1 carat-pink diamond designed by Harry Winston that cost him a reported 2.5 million dollars.
Sadly, the plans were called off with the pair sighting pressure from the attention generated by their big day as a major reason for their decision. In a statement released then, it read “When we found ourselves seriously contemplating hiring three separate ‘decoy brides’ at three different locations we realized that something was awry”.
They seem to have grown and matured enough to now handle the pressure as it has been a case of romantic holidays on yachts in Europe, cozy getaways to the Hamptons and a whole lot of PDA filled dinner dates.
Jennifer split from former fiancé Alex Rodriguez and confirmed their relationship in July as they celebrated her 52nd birthday together.
Even though she lives separately in her own house with her teenage kids; Emme and Max in Bel-Air of Los Angeles, plans are underway for the pair to move in together very soon. They were reported window shopping for a Beverly Hills estate worth a whopping 85 million dollars.
She’s not the only one coming with children as Ben Affleck also has three of his own named Violet, Seraphina and Sam from his decade-long union to actress Jennifer Garner.
It’s not yet clear why they decided to come back now after so much time apart and with both having gone ahead to build separate families but whatever it is, it is strong enough to make them so convinced to still give love a chance 17 years after they turned their backs on love in the first place.
As they have not made any effort to keep it hush hush, the whole of Hollywood is gearing up to what should be a must attend event of 2021 within the celebrity circle when the dates are finally made known.
