A blogger based in Lagos State, Stanley Okoruwa, has issued a public apology for making unwarranted allegations against popular businessman, Emeka Okonkwo, popularly known as E-Money, and the wife of the late actor, Junior Pope, Jennifer Awele.
Trouble had begun after E-money had during the burial ceremony of Junior Pope, said that he (together with his brother) would sponsor the 3 children of the late actor up to university level.
However tongues began wagging after this incident, with some netizens alleging that E-money had been having an affair with Junior Pope’s wife before the actor’s death.
E-Money had thus reacted, and began earnestly searching for the two women and a man who had made the bold claims.
Eventually, the blogger was apprehended by the Lagos State Police Command after E-Money filed a petition about the offensive video.
The blogger had recanted his statements and expressed regret for his defamatory words, admitting that his allegations were just an attempt to gain followers and traffic on his Facebook page.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, has said that the blogger would be duly prosecuted for defaming E-Money, in an online video, and had commended E-Money for following due process.

The blogger had during an interview with Arise TV, tendered an apology to the public figure, saying:
“E-Money, I am so sorry for tarnishing your image. I only made the video that E-Money was sleeping with Junior Pope’s wife just to gain more followers on Facebook.”
