Jung Kook, a prominent member of the globally renowned K-Pop supergroup BTS, revealed plans to commence his military service this December. The announcement follows the confirmation from BTS’s management agency that all seven members are on schedule to fulfill their mandatory military duties.
BTS is presently on a temporary hiatus, with three out of the seven members currently undergoing South Korea’s compulsory military service. On Wednesday, the management agency disclosed that the remaining four members—RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook—have initiated the military enlistment process.
Analysts anticipate that with this timeline, all seven members will successfully complete their military service obligations by mid-2025. Hybe, the parent company of BTS’s management agency, stands to benefit from the staggered enlistments and solo activities of BTS members, allowing those who have served earlier to remain active while others are away.
