The Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has expressed empathy towards his Kaduna State counterpart, Senator Uba Sani over the ‘unintended’ bomb explosions that occurred.
His sympathy was also extended to the entire state populace following the ‘unplanned’ bomb attack that decimated numerous lives.
In a statement Governor Bago, had released with the help of his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the tragedy was described as unfortunate and it emitted his profound sadness.
The statement read:
“I am greatly saddened by this unfortunate and unpleasant accident. I, on behalf of all the Niger State people commiserate with your moment of grief. May Allah comfort you all and grant the deceased souls Aljannah Firdausi.”
The governor additionally extended his prayers to the immediate healing of those who suffered various injuries in the incident.
He also encouraged the security agencies to be heartened by the incident and to maintain their resolute stance in fighting all forms of criminal gangs in the country.
Finally, Governor Bago called for a thorough investigation by the relevant officials so as to avoid future tragic incidents.
The tragic episode happened on Sunday in Kaduna during the celebration of Eid Maulud by several Muslim Ummah.
