Popular American streamer Kai Cenat has announced a temporary withdrawal from social media after weeks of intense public attention surrounding his split from content creator Gabrielle Alayah.
In a deeply personal message posted on his Instagram story, the 24-year-old addressed the constant speculation and misinformation that followed the end of their relationship.
“I just want to say this from my heart. It can be confusing to see news about me and the people around me that isn’t true,” he wrote.
Cenat explained that although he has long shared his life with fans, the scale of scrutiny over his private affairs has recently become difficult to manage.
“I’ve been sharing my life online for a long time now and know that once you share aspects of your life with the world, it can be hard to keep things private,” he said.

He also apologised for his delayed response, stating that he needed space from social platforms to properly reflect on the situation.
“There have been rumours, speculations and comments made about my previous relationship and my friends. I want to apologise for not addressing things sooner, but I needed to take a step back from social media and process everything.”
The streamer urged supporters to avoid getting caught up in online narratives, stressing that the matter should have remained private.
“People react to things in different ways. It is an emotional time and should have been handled privately,” he noted.
Reassuring fans, Cenat added that any significant updates would always come directly from him.
“If there’s ever something important, something real for me to address or say, you will hear it directly from me. You’ll always hear it from me. Don’t let all the noise distract from that. This applies to everything in my life. My relationships, my businesses, my streams, everything.”
He concluded by wishing Alayah well and calling for understanding from the public.
“I wish the best to Gabrielle and ask to please respect both sides.”
Split Announcement And Fallout
Cenat first made the breakup public in late December 2025. On December 27, he posted on X, formerly Twitter, declaring, “I’m single, I will never be in another relationship again.”
The pair had confirmed their relationship in late 2024, around Cenat’s 23rd birthday, and regularly appeared together on his livestreams.
Shortly after the announcement, online speculation intensified, with allegations of cheating and rumours linking Alayah to rapper NBA YoungBoy.
The controversy deepened when Cenat’s assistant, Brianna Lewis, accused Alayah of maintaining contact with another man during the relationship. Alayah rejected the claims, insisting she ended the relationship and disputing the authenticity of the alleged messages.
In January, she released a lengthy YouTube video titled The Real, in which she denied the allegations, offered to submit her devices for independent checks, and dismissed claims of any romantic involvement or pregnancy linked to NBA YoungBoy.
She also accused Cenat’s assistant of crossing professional boundaries, though Lewis maintained that the evidence she shared was genuine.
Alayah further alleged that Cenat had previously been unfaithful, claiming he was once discovered with another woman in his residence.
Cenat’s latest statement marks his first public reaction since the controversy erupted.
