Residents of Kano State had on Monday, March 20, flouted the curfew imposed by the state government to celebrate the victory of the NNPP candidate, Yusuf Abba, as the winner of Saturday’s governorship election in the state.
Videos posted on social media show the residents trooping out en masse to celebrate the emergence of Abba, regardless of the imposed curfew.
Recall that the Kano State government had imposed a dusk-to-dawn curfew to avoid a breakdown of law and order that could arise from the collation of results of the Governorship and House of Assembly elections in the state.
