The 20-year-old Kobbie Mainoo might be on the brink of leaving the Red Devils. He is reported to be desperate to leave the club on loan to somewhere he can get playing minutes in January.
Mainoo, during the summer window, asked for a loan. His request was denied by United as they thought it was too late to get a replacement. Afterward, he was told that he would be starting directly with the captain, Bruno Fernandes, and the rest of the bench would be waiting.
Nevertheless, Fernandes is a starter for all 15 matches of the Premier League this season and therefore does not lose many minutes, while Mainoo has not started a game in the league. In short, he was substituted in the second half of the league matches, and this limited involvement has made him upset with the manager Rúben Amorim’s decisions.

Sources close to Flashscore informed that Mainoo has once again communicated his desire to leave the club to the management and that he could either go on loan or be sold to another team, as he no longer thinks that he has the support of the manager. He is making it clear that he wants to leave so that the club has time to prepare for his departure in the next transfer window.
Despite the fact that United are still not keen on letting him go, the decision to let him leave will most likely depend on the plans for their midfield in the transfer market. While Napoli is at the front of the line for a signing and Mainoo is ready to take up a challenge in either England or abroad, his primary concern is to play regularly and get a new start.
