Dino Melaye, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship candidate in Kogi State, has won the election at his polling unit.
Melaye got a total of 210 votes to defeat his main opponent, Ahmed Ododo, the All Progressives Congress candidate, APC, who got s total of 22 votes.
Leke Abejide, the candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, had come a distant third with pnly 7 votes.
Earlier in the day, Melaye had complained on the social media platform, X (formerly Twitter), alleging that the INEC result sheets had been pre-filled at all polling units in Ogori/Magongo local government areas of the state before they were brought to that region.
