The interior minister on Kosovo, Xelal Svecla had said on Saturday that eight people had been arrested and a “huge arsenal of weapons” seized as part of its investigation into an explosion that threatened power and water supplies.
Svecla said during a live-streamed press conference;
“Somehow we managed to fix the damage, arrest the suspects and confiscate a huge arsenal of weapons.”
Earlier on, Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Albin Kurti remarked that the police had made arrests after an explosion hit a canal that transports water to its two main power plants.
Pristina eventually went on to label that incident a “terrorist act” instigated by neighbouring Serbia.
