Four mini commercial buses with the registration numbers (LSD 83 QM), (AKD 690 QK), & (LSD 83 QM), as well as a fully laden container truck (JJJ 125), were also involved in the collision, which happened at 12:30 p.m. (AKL 87 QF).
One of the tricycles had a single passenger, and the driver passed away quickly.
The four accident victims who were rescued by LASTMA personnel included two pregnant ladies and two kids.
The casualties were immediately turned over by LASTMA troops to Ikotun Police Station officers, who transported them to General Hospital for treatment.
According to a preliminary inquiry, the fully laden container truck (JJJ 125) had a brake failure and crushed three tricycles while traveling towards Ikotun along a valley near a synagogue.
The truck containing the crumpled tricycles was immediately transported to Ikotun Police Station by the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA).
At the scene of the collision were other emergency personnel, including police officers from Ikotun Police Station.
In addition, Mr. Bolaji Oreagba, General Manager of LASTMA, cautioned tanker owners and drivers to always make sure that their vehicles are thoroughly inspected and in good condition before setting out on any journey.
