Frank Lampard has turned what seemed a managerial disaster into a magnificent success story. He has led Coventry City, which had been out of the Premier League for 25 years, back to the top division.
Coventry managed to get the point they needed (1-1 draw vs. Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park), and the happiness took over the players, staff, and the fans who traveled. At the end of the game, Lampard got emotional and explained that the win was not only a team one but also a personal one since he had been questioned many times when it came to the validity of his managerial career.
Lampard was appointed in November 2024, after the club found itself battling relegation following the departure of the manager who had served the club for a long time, Mark Robins.

People were doubtful when he came, but Lampard managed to change the entire scenario and took the team all the way to the top of the Championship.
This promotion means a great deal for both the club and the manager. The team that has gone through a rough time, including a season in the fourth division, is now among the best in English football thanks largely to a financial inflow worth about £200 million.
As far as Lampard is concerned, this is the achievement that not only made him change his career but also the one that he really needed to silence his critics.
