The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority has issued a warning to its officers against moving in yellow buses while they’re on traffic enforcement duty.

Adebayo Taofiq, the spokesperson for the agency, had in said that members of the general public should report to the agency, any officer caught doing this.

“We have informed the public that henceforth, any LASTMA officer at any of the 45 zones, found using ‘Korope’ for their duties should reach us through our hotlines to get across to such officer.”
According to Adebayo, it was not a good look for the officers doing so.

Commercial buses in Lagos, otherwise known as Danfo or Korope, are painted yellow, a color approved by the state.

Speaking further, Adebayo remarked that the primary assignment of LASTMA officers was not to apprehend but to control and manage traffic, however, there is no way you will manage traffic that enforcement will not come on board because you will have uncooperative drivers.”
