The Nigerian reality TV star, Laura Ikeji, has recently shared her fears regarding the procedures of the plastic surgery.
On July 25, 2024, she posted a message on her Insta stories, aimed at the fans and all the women who decided to change their appearance with the help of a surgeon’s scalpel. She said she has never undergone surgery to alter her appearance although she has always wanted a change and the chances presented to her have been numerous.
Laura Ikeji stated that she was aware that she wanted to get this surgery, especially after her son was born. Nonetheless, she was always delaying it, and at one point she booked an appointment and even paid for the procedure but never showed up. This pattern persisted, and during the COVID-19 period, she began to think about it after giving birth to her child but did not.
She said that her refusal was more of being afraid of being under anesthesia.
Laura wondered how other people could do it when it involved risking the unknown and the need to wake up alive. For those hesitant to pull the trigger on cosmetic surgery, Laura Ikeji’s openness gives a peek into the emotional and psychological struggles that are too often ignored.
