The Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, has begged the parliamentary workers in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Ola Awoniyi, to end their strike. He had asked them to put an end to their strike action and give in to talks with the management.
“I want to urge you, whenever we disagree, let’s try to come and sit and talk about it because when we talk, we can find some common grounds and solutions,” Lawan said.
The Senate President has also guaranteed them that he would engage with the right authorities to quickly resolve every one of their issues and demands.
The National Assembly workers of the National Assembly under PASAN started their strike action on Monday, 6th of June, 2022. They started this strike to make the management of the National Assembly respond to their request for payment of all outstanding salaries and allowances.
