In the Los Angeles Lakers game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday, LeBron James surpassed the historic mark that six-time NBA MVP Kareem Abdul-Jabbar had held for 39 years as the league’s all-time leading scorer.
LeBron James, a four-time champion, shattered the NBA’s all-time scoring record on Tuesday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder by scoring 36 points in 26 minutes.
James took the top spot on the scoring chart with eight points in the first quarter, twelve in the second, twelve in the third, and six in the fourth. James has had a distinguished 20-year career. He has won four championships, five regular seasons MVP awards, the MVP award for the Finals, and a plethora of other awards dating back to 2003.
Given that James is regarded as one of the league’s pass-first players and just moved up to fourth place on the NBA’s all-time assist list, his record-breaking performance is all the more remarkable.
