Leeds United spiritedly fought back from being two goals down to earn a 2-2 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Meanwhile, Benjamin Šeško’s last-minute goal secured a 1-1 draw for Manchester United against West Ham United in the Premier League.

After João Pedro scored the opening goal, cleverly finishing over Karl Darlow following a perfect pass from Cole Palmer, Chelsea seemed to be totally dominating. The Blues made it 2-0 early in the second period when Palmer scored from the penalty spot after Jaka Bijol fouled Pedro, and thus, Rosenior’s team was heading for its fifth win in a row in the league.

Leeds, on the other hand, came back determined. Lukas Nmecha scored a penalty after Moisés Caicedo fouled Jayden Bogle, and the visitors seemed to have taken full control when Nmecha assisted sub Noah Okafor to equalize in the 73rd minute. Chelsea sought to score a late winner, but Palmer’s mishit close-range shot was the turning point as Leeds kept going strong and are only two defeats in their last 13 games.

In another match, Manchester United were forced to share the spoils with West Ham after a last-minute equalizer. After the break, the home side scored as Tomáš Souček netted from Jarrod Bowen’s cross. It was a deserved goal after a good attacking movement.

United were earnestly looking for a goal, with Casemiro having one disallowed due to offside. Then substitute Šeško arrived right at the nick of time and flicked Bryan Mbeumo’s cross into the top corner to save a point as well as extend United’s unbeaten league run to nine games.

These results leave Chelsea frustrated in their quest for stability, while United still eye a top-four finish and Leedsare  showing their grit in a solid mid-table performance.
