Akin Rotimi, the House of Representatives spokesperson, has castigated the grave murder of a female student of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, FUOYE, Miss Módúpé Atanda.

The lawmaker’s condemnation had been contained in a statement he issued on Thursday, September 7, in FCT Abuja. Rotimi had pleaded for an exhaustive investigation into the murder, so as to bring the killers to justice.

Miss Atanda, a 200-level student of the institution had gone to study in the evening of September 4, and went missing thereafter.

FUOYE Authorities had later on, made a report that the missing student had been found dead in a shallow grave on the campus, with her eyes plucked out, on September 6

Hon. Rotimi, who represents Ekiti North 1, Ikole/Oye Federal Constituency, had urged the State government , relevant security bodies, and stakeholders in the community to come together as one, so as to fish out the culprits and bring them to book.

“The state government owes it to the memory of late Miss Atanda to make sure that our students, and absolutely all residents in their individual communities, are safe and secure as they go about their lawful businesses.” Hon. Rotimi had said.

The lawmaker had concluded the statement by appealing to anyone with useful information, related to the murder case to contact the Nigeria Police Force and assist in the investigations.
