Nura Audu, the Deputy Campaign Coordinator and Yobe North Zonal social media for the Bashir Machina campaign team has tagged the Supreme Court judgment recognizing Senate Ahmed Lawan as the authentic senatorial candidate for the zone as upsetting and unfair to anyone committed to justice and fairness.
Audu, who is a staunch supporter of Machina had labeled the judgment as an unprecedented and unfortunate declaration in the political history of Nigeria. While speaking with a correspondent of PUNCH newspapers via a phone call, he said, “The Supreme Court judgment was a daylight robbery, and it is a very unfortunate one in the political history of Nigeria.”
“Ahmed Lawan neither obtained nor filled the Senatorial aspiration form or contested in the primaries. As Muslims, we believe in destiny; so, we will wait for our leader’s move before we do anything.”
