Nollywood veteran Binta Ayo Mogaji, also known as Mama Insurance, recently opened up about her journey to motherhood at 40. Speaking on the ‘Talk To B’ podcast, Mogaji revealed that she had to undergo surgery to remove one of her fallopian tubes due to an ectopic pregnancy. Despite this, she was able to give birth naturally.

Mogaji shared that she had resolved to adopt a child if she did not have her own by the time she turned 40. Remarkably, she gave birth to her son just a few weeks after her 40th birthday. At the time, Mogaji was not interested in getting married, and the father of her child shared the same sentiment.

Reflecting on her ectopic pregnancy, Mogaji recounted the traumatic experience, which involved being taken to seven different hospitals. The doctors were unsure if she would survive until the next day, and the surgery lasted between seven and nine hours. Despite these challenges, she remained determined and was able to have her child through a natural birth.

Her story highlights her resilience and determination to become a mother, even in the face of significant medical challenges. Mogaji’s journey to motherhood serves as an inspiring testament to overcoming obstacles and achieving one’s dreams despite the odds.
