Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, has given N100 million to Kano flood victims.
At a dinner hosted in his honor by the Kano Business Community Council on Saturday in Kano, Tinubu announced the donation.
The presidential candidate urged fervent prayer to put an end to flood disasters in the state and the country as a whole.
According to Tinubu, the donation was made to lessen the victims’ suffering in the affected Local Government Areas.
If elected, the APC nominee promised that Nigeria’s diversity would be a source of wealth for all.
Mr. Tinubu pointed out that the Federal Government had implemented a number of initiatives to develop infrastructure and increase business accessibility throughout the nation.
For the entire nation, not just the North or Kano, the APC presidential candidate promised to reposition existing sectors and make them a competitive source of industrialization and prosperity.
He also praised Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje for his efforts to improve the state’s infrastructure.
The relationship between Kano and Lagos dates back years, according to Tinubu, who called Ganduje a “friend and a trusted partner,” due to the similarities between the two economic powerhouses.
The APC candidate for president also pledged to the business sector that he would create an environment that would allow companies to flourish in the state.
He expressed gratitude to the business sector for the honor and made a vow to consider their platform if elected.
Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje had earlier stated that Tinubu can offer the leadership that the nation needs to consolidate and maintain its democratic accomplishments.
APC and Kano are the same. So, our people are on board, and as always, we are asking for their support,” he said.
According to Ganduje, Tinubu was a leader who would bring the country together and advance it.
As the party marched toward victory in 2023 alongside Nigerians, Ganduje equally urged all party members to be together and determined.
Sen. Abdullahi Adamu, the APC National Chairman, praised the business community council for planning the dinner for the presidential candidate.
When asked if their demands would be honored if Tinubu were elected as president, Adamu regarded the action as an endorsement.
Some of the business community council members spoke and gave Tinubu their blueprint, pleading with him to create a climate that would allow companies to expand and thrive if he were elected.
They also advised him to concentrate on power because a lack of consistent power supply has forced several industries to close.
They also praised President Muhammadu Buhari for constructing Dala Inland Dry Port, the state’s largest train project, the AKK gas pipeline, and other infrastructure.
The governors of the states of Kano, Jigawa, Yobe, and Zamfara, along with Abdullahi Ganduje, Alhaji Badaru Abubakar, Alhaji Bello Matawalle, and Alhaji Mai Mala-Buni, accompanied the APC presidential candidate to the meal.
Others included state executive council members, National Assembly members, and other party veterans.
