Karl Heniz Rummenige former Bayern Munich chairman has berated the praises poured on Sadio mane Liverpool ex-forward and De ligt, Juventus ex-player following their signings to the club.

According to him, he doesn’t understand why Hasan Salihamdzic, Bayern Munich sports director is pouring encomium concerning the signing of these players and he cannot be a part of this charade. In his opinion they are not World class players-, Mane who is 30 years old has done pretty well in Bundesliga and has won best African player two times, but this isn’t anything spectacular as many footballers his age have achieved more. He criticized the club for making De ligt the chief defense a role which would have suited Niklas Sule. According to him, he didn’t put up a fantastic performance whilst in Juventus.

“Why have Hasan Salihamidzic and company been praised lately for their summer transfers? Honestly, I can’t be part of this cheering chorus,” writes Rummenigge for Sportbuzzer.

“With all due respect to Sadio Mané and Matthijs de Ligt – but in my opinion, neither of them are world-class players. Of course, Mané will do well in the Bundesliga and score his goals, but at the age of 30 I don’t see him being at the absolute top level.”

“I’m even more skeptical about De Ligt. Sure, he’s only 22 years old. But the last three seasons at Juventus were lost time for him. He should have been able to develop further after his furious start to his career at Ajax. I think it is very daring to declare him Bayern’s chief of defense. You could have kept Niklas Süle.
