A Shikal village church located in Langtang South Local Government Area of Plateau State was going about its normal Sunday worship when masquerades invaded it, on Sunday, 18 September 2022.
The Pastor of the undisclosed church and its worshippers were caned by the masquerades who had disrupted the church service.
The church members who did not confront the masquerades had, according to reports, gathered to salvage what was left of their belongings which had also been damaged during the attack. Reports also have it that the elders of the village are making efforts to get to the bottom of the chaos to restore normalcy to the area.
