Nigerian singer Crayon unleashed a series of intense posts on X on Sunday evening, targeting the leadership of Mavin Records.

In a flurry of tweets, the 28-year-old artist, who was signed to Blowtime Entertainment, a Mavin imprint, since May 2019, mixed camaraderie with aggression while mentioning Don Jazzy and chief operating officer Tega Oghenejobo.

He began with an exclamation directed at Don Jazzy: “Don jazzy na my boy!!!!!! Una dey maddddd!!?? Shayennnnn sharayyyyyy333,” before turning his ire toward the COO: “Tega highest criminal!!!!!!!!!”

Crayon further escalated his attacks on the label, declaring: “Mavin is going down!!!!!!” He also targeted the label’s biggest star: “Rema for the next 100 years no feature. You stole my star from me. Yeah I took tha shiiiiii backkkkk hoeeeeerrrr!!!!! Snakkkkkkkeeeeeesssssssss.”

It is unclear if Crayon’s X account was compromised, as he remains active on Instagram without hinting at any hack.

The singer hinted at his move away from Mavin Records by sharing information about his new imprint, Olodum Entertainment, including a booking email: Bookings@olodument.co.uk. His latest release, ‘Baami,’ is listed under Olodum Entertainment and carries no Mavin branding.

Crayon also called on creatives to design branding for his new label: “Any weird creatives that can come with OLODUM ENT FLAGGSSSSS!!!! Gets 500M million naira cash !!!!! With love WARAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!”

Mavin Records and its executives have yet to respond to Crayon’s social media outburst.
