Nigerian singer Mayorkun has unveiled his much-anticipated album titled Still The Mayor, marking his first full-length project since 2021’s Back In Office.
Released on Friday, the album boasts a blend of local and international collaborations. Featured artists include Ghana’s King Promise and Olivetheboy, Nigerian-American singer Rotimi, as well as Nigerian stars Davido, Dremo, Fireboy, The Flowolf, and Michii.
The 13-track project includes songs such as Keep On Rockin, Innocent, 3:45, Diamonds, Konko Below, and Industry Girl. Other tracks include Blessings On Blessings, Reason 2 Japa, Hold Body, Woman, Would You?, and Jiggy. Reason 2 Japa had been earlier rolled out as a single ahead of the album’s full release.
Speaking on the inspiration behind the title, Mayorkun described it as a continuation of his musical journey and revealed that it is his “most challenging” project yet, crafted to spark curiosity among fans.
Mayorkun shot to fame in 2016 with his debut single Eleko, under Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), where he remained until 2021. His debut studio album, The Mayor of Lagos, dropped in 2018, followed by Back In Office under Sony Music West Africa after exiting DMW.
