Megan Thee Stallion has made the surprise admission of a past sexual relationship with Canadian rapper Tory Lanez, a fact she had previously denied.
The documentary Megan: In Her Words, directed by Nneka Onuorah and set to air on October 31 on Prime Video has the widely adored Megan Thee Stallion revealing important revelations about her connection to Lanez, adding yet another wrinkle to the famously protracted saga that ended with Lanez’s arrest and subsequent 10 years imprisonment due to assault on the rapper.
In August 2023, he was sentenced over three years since a shooting incident in 2020 where Megan was injured following a house party hosted by Kylie Jenner. Megan had long resisted discussing any romantic involvement with Lanez, even initially lying in an interview with Gayle King. Reflecting on her decision to conceal the fling, Megan said, “I lied to Gayle King…she was always gonna talk about the shooting. Why you tryna ask me if I’m f*cking Tory?”.
She went on to admit the closeness between them was scarce and only occurred “once, maybe twice on a drunk night”. Megan’s admission is a new layer in the case that has first shocked and then polarized the public. The admission has already begun to stir conversations through social media as fans and critics alike weigh in on this latest revelation in a story that is far from over.
