Mesut Ozil Officially Retires at 34 Years

The ex-Real Madrid and Arsenal player, Mesut Ozil has announced his retirement from the football world.

The 34-year-old had spent eight years at the Emirates Stadium after a £42.5million contract switch to North London from Spanish giants Real Madrid in 2013.

Ozil made the revelation via his official Twitter account (@M10) on Wednesday, March 22.

Before this, he had won four FA Cup titles for Arsenal before joining Fenerbahce in January 2021.
